We’re happy to enclose our Wedding Planning Guide which will help guide you as you start planning for your big day!

We have put together a detailed account of key events that will take place prior to the big day, so that you can accurately create your wedding and vacation itinerary.

You still have lots to do, and your time is precious, so we made it as concise as we possibly could. It’s worth the read, if you want everything to go as seamlessly as possible.

We try to answer many of the questions we think you may have, and have included al of the necessary paperwork that we’ll need you to complete.

1.Your wedding meeting

Your meeting with the wedding co-ordinator is where all the details of the services included in your package, and any upgrades or additional services you you require will be finalised. Additionally, the times and locations for these services will be provided.

The wedding co-ordinator will also go over the order of events that will take place during your big day, bearing in mind any specialsie touches you want to include, as well as provide you with the information pertaining to the finalisation of your wedding license.

This meeting ensures that your big day and the events surrounding it occur as seamlessly as possible.

2.The wedding day

‘Relax’ is not a word typically associated with a couples’ wedding day but that is exactly what we ask you to do – leave it to us and enjoy what we’re sure will be a memorable day!

Once in your resort, villa or guest house, all you need to worry about is ensuring that you and your guests are dressed and ready to enjoy this special occasion. Remember that with the assistance of our wedding coordinator, your day will be organized perfectly from beginning to end, leaving you to make the most of the fantastic venue.

How many days prior to the ceremony do we need to arrive?

There is a three day residential stay (Monday-Friday) for the marriage license application. Please note that your date of arrival is not part of the three day requirement. An express marriage license may also be obtained. We charge a fee of onlyUS$200.00 for an expedited marriage license application.

Where and when will we have our wedding briefing prior to the wedding day?

The following morning after your arrival, at your villa or resort lobby area. The meeting time is usually at 10.00 or 11.15 am.

How do we obtain our Marriage License?

We take care of all the legalities.

Is the wedding performed in English, French or Spanish?

English. A translator can be arranged at an additional cost.

I was divorced less than a year ago. Can I have my civil ceremony at the resort/villa?

Certainly. Please ensure that you travel with the original divorce decrees (raised seal or certified stamp signed by the judge). Photo copied decrees are not accepted in St. Lucia.

Can I translate my divorce decree and change of name deeds prior to my arrival to the resort?

Certainly. If the decree is not in English, it needs to be translated with an original seal.

Do I need a blood test, and if so, what ailments will I checked for?

No blood test is required in St. Lucia.

Are witnesses required?

Two witnesses are required. If you don’t have any they can be provided by our team.

Can we invite guests to our wedding if they aren’t staying at the hotel/villa?

Sure. An additional charge will be applied per guest.

When will we receive our wedding certificate?

Your marriage certificate is received the day after the ceremony, and is legally recognized worldwide.

How many weddings do you perform per day?

We perform only one wedding per day. You and your guests will have our full attention and focus.

Can we chose where we want the ceremony to take place?

There are a lot of locations outside of your villa or resort that can serve as the ideal setting for a ceremony or reception. (Garden, Beach, Piton background, Yacht, Church etc…)

Is there a limit to the number of guests who can attend the wedding?

Depending on the location of choice we can accommodate over 400 guests.

How many guests are permitted at your standard destination wedding?

Unlimited. There is no limit as to how many guests that can attend your wedding. You can invite as many as your venue can accommodate.

What do you offer in terms of decorations?

We offer decorations for both the ceremony and reception locations, as per your wedding package.

If we want our wedding on the beach, what is the set-up?

Same as the other locations.

What happens if we’ve booked an outdoor location for the ceremony and it rains?

We can use an alternative in-door location or a tent in the event of inclement weather. When making your arrangements bare in mind that the rainy season begins in June. If you wish to avoid unpredictable weather February through April is ideal.

What types of flowers are available locally?

The local flowers are ginger lilies, bird of paradise, orchids, anthuriums and bougainvilleas. Our onsite florist can guideyou in your choices.

Can we choose the music for the ceremony?

Yes. You may choose to have recorded music or live music for your ceremony.

What are the options for the live music?

We can provide steel pan music, guitarist, saxophonist, keyboardist etc.

I am a citizen of the United Kingdom, and would like to know the requirements for getting married in St. Lucia?

The bride and groom will need their passports, divorce decree – original copy (if applicable) and death certificate – original (if applicable).

Are you able to make a tailored package just for us, we need help in some areas?

Certainly, every couple is unique so we will very happy to have a package tailored with all your requirements.

How involved will be my wedding planner be?

Very involved – From answering all your emails, morning meeting, guest activities, on- site throughout the ceremony and reception.

Some of my guests will be staying at different locations on island. Can you organize transportation to take them to and from the wedding?

Yes we can. Transportation for special tours of the island can also be arranged while on island.

I booked my hotel but I am not sure where it is located, are you able to book me a taxi from the airport?

We can take care of all airport transfers for the entire wedding party.

My guests and I love to party and have a good time, will you be able to book us an amazing band or DJ?

We reserve and recommend only the best vendors for your special occasion. The number one Dj on island, is also the director of team Soul O Bliss, so a properly entertained wedding reception is guaranteed.

Is it possible to organize a private sit-down reception meal with our guests after the ceremony?

Certainly.We can easily organize a beautiful dinner or lunch for you and your guests in the form of a sit-down reception.
